Most of the Pärnu city centre and beach area is designated as a paid parking zone. The zone is clearly marked and information on the rates and times for the specific area is provided on the corresponding signs.

Tickets for the paid parking zone are sold through many hotels, newspaper kiosks, food establishments, etc. Parking ticket dispensers, which can be used to pay for parking, are located on the street near the Pärnu Endla Theatre, St. Elizabeth’s Church; at the intersections of Ringi-Rüütli Streets and Rüütli-Aia Streets; and near the City Hall, Post Office, and the Port Artur 2 Shopping Centre.

As of this summer, vehicles can park for free in the city centre for one hour and in the beach area for 30 minutes. To avail of this, an inexpensive and convenient parking clock, which can be purchased from the nearest newspaper kiosk, must be displayed.

During the summer, there are many cars in Pärnu city centre and the beach area. Therefore, walking or riding a bicycle is the most convenient way to get around. This is often the fastest way to reach your destination and it is definitely cheaper.
